This spring we’ll finally get to see the Game of Thrones finale! But it’s only six episodes of an hour and a half, so we’ve rounded up seven major newcomers to the upcoming season to keep you entertained.

“Black Monday.”
This series is reminiscent of the movie “The Wolf of Wall Street” – dodgy businessmen rake in billions, but after Black Monday (October 19, 1987 the Dow-Jones index collapsed, and there has never been such a collapse before or since) they have to face very big problems. Even if you don’t know anything about economics, watch it anyway – there’s a lot of scandal, intrigue, and also, well, a very classy picture.

“Always a Witch.”
Netflix has introduced the first season of the Colombian series “Always a Witch.” In the story, the young witch Carmen miraculously escapes execution at the stake and moves from the 17th century to the present day. She has to get used to the modern world, and at the same time figure out how to save her beloved, who has remained in the past. Suitable for fans of the TV series “Bewitched” and “Sabrina the Little Witch”!

“Umbrella Academy.”
Perhaps one of the most anticipated (and heroic) projects of this year. Set in a parallel universe, the disbanded student superheroes of Umbrella Academy meet at the funeral of their alien mentor and decide to reunite to save the world. We’ll be watching at least for the star-studded cast: Ellen Page (31) (“Comatoseurs”), Tom Hopper (34) (“Pretty Woman All Over), Robert Sheehan (31) (“Chronicles of the Cities of Prey”).

“The Witcher.”
This series is already being called the new “Game of Thrones” (lots of violence and sex scenes). The project is based on the books by Andrzej Sapkowski, the main character – the witch doctor Geralt, hunter of dangerous monsters that threaten the human race. Henry Cavill (35) (our favorite Superman) has the lead role.

“Widow.”
Georgia’s husband died in a plane crash, but his body was not found among the dead. Then the heroine (played, by the way, by Kate Beckinsale (45)) embarks on a perilous journey to find her missing spouse. We’ll definitely be watching!

“Sex Education.”
This series came out back in the winter, but we’re still including it on our list so you won’t forget to watch it. “Sex Education” is one of Netflix’s most popular projects (more than 40 million users watched it in just a few days after its release). It’s the story of Otis, a shy virgin who lives with his sexologist mother (who, by the way, is played by Gillian Anderson (50), star of “The X-Files”). One day, his classmate Maeve suggests that Otis start an underground sex therapy club to help peers with all sorts of awkward situations. All that’s left to do is overhear his mother’s conversations with clients…
